Do you want to make money in Old School Runescape? You’ve come to the right place! This guide will show you how to make gold while playing Old School Runescape as a free-to-play (F2P) player. It’s not hard and it doesn’t take a lot of time, so go ahead and get started today!
And you can use this money to buy OSRS items that are used for skilling up and training your combat skills.
The best way to make money in Old School RuneScape is by gathering resources, crafting items, and selling them on the Grand Exchange or through combat. You can also pick up valuable items from around Gielinor that will help you earn more OSRS GP.
Killing Cows In Lumbridge
Cows are everywhere in Lumbridge! They can be found on the north side as well as along both sides of the river. To get their hides, you need to buy a steel scimitar and armor from Grand Exchange for 15 defense points each (attack/strength); this will enable players to kill them easily with just one weapon.
The cowhides sell for 150 gold on average when sold in the Grand Exchange and it helps improve your OSRS skills when slaying cows.
One thing to note is that if you are a beginner, your combat level will stay low and won’t allow for much profit. As time progresses with more levels gained in-game, making profits becomes easier as well!
You can buy cowhides at the Grand Exchange and have it tanned to be sold for a quick profit. To tan cowhides, you need 7 quest points or 24 hours of playtime in addition to having enough OSRS gold.
The Al Kharid Tannery is a great place to turn your old leather into something new and useful. You can get soft or hard versions of the material, paying 1 to 3 OSRS gold for them.
Cutting Oak Logs
Oak trees are a great way to make money. You can start cutting them as soon as you reach Level 15 in Woodcutting, and they’re right next to the Draynor Village bank! Even with just an old steel ax though, it’s recommended that OSRS players have access to higher quality equipment so their woodcutting stats will be better for this task due to increased woodcutting efficiency.
Mining Iron Ore
Mining iron ore is a great way to make money and get good mining experience points per hour. All you need are level 15 mining skills, any pickaxe in your inventory, then you can go ahead and mine those ores!
The best two spots to mine iron ore in Gielinor are southwest Varrock mine and southeast Varrock mine. As you progress through the game, your mining level dictates what type of ore is most profitable. At Level 41 and with a rune pickaxe in F2P mode, it’s best to focus on gold or ra unite ores for more income potential.
If you want to catch lobsters, level 40 fishing is a requirement. You will need a Lobster pot and some OSRS gold for this task which can be found at Musa Point.
Once you catch enough lobsters, you can move them to Falador by teleporting and using your level 36 Magic. A much faster alternative is to go to Port Sarim and deposit the lobsters there.
With these money-making methods, you should be able to make a lot of OSRS GP in no time. Make sure you level up your skills and get the best OSRS items and equipment so you can enjoy more profitable money-making opportunities.
