Huawei Watch GT 3 review: What makes it different from other watches?

Design and screen of the Huawei Watch GT3

When you compare the GT3 to the GT2, Huawei didn’t make drastic changes to the overall design.

In the Huawei wearable product, The Huawei Watch 3 has been refined and incorporated elements of the Huawei Watch 3, leading to an attractive, sleek watch that is geared toward men. It is available in both a men’s and a women’s version.

With dimensions of 46mm and 42mm round and size 11mm thick for the former and slimmer. You can choose from two case sizes when purchasing this watch. A large 46mm version of this case weighs just over 42 grams without the strap and is constructed of stainless steel on the front and plastic on the back. The case didn’t feel too bulky on our testers’ slender wrists, and there was no discomfort while wearing it.

With the two case sizes on offer, you can choose between fluoroelastomer straps, leather straps, or steel straps in various colors.

Despite having a traditional watch buckle, the fluoroelastomer one is comfortable to wear throughout the day as well as at night without irritating.

2  buttons can be found across the top of the case, one of which is shaped like a crown, a key concept of the Huawei Watch 3.

By rotating the screen, apps like maps let you zoom in or out and move between screens. The workout tracker is not only a shortcut feature you frequently use,

A 43mm thick 42mm GT3 features an AMOLED 1.43″ screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and another¬† 1.39″ display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. Despite a slight bump in resolution, it is another lovely display. In addition to its responsiveness, the panel offers sharp, deep blacks, accurate colors, and good indoor and outdoor visibility.

The adjustable brightness setting most of the time didn’t need to reach its maximum, and it was possible to use a black-and-white always-on display to display the time without using the device.

The GT2 has the same 5ATM water resistance rating as the Huawei G4, so you can immerse it up to 50m deep in water with no worries. Despite having been swum with and hopped on, the device has survived.

Huawei hasn’t changed much, and that’s a good thing.

As far as the design goes, the Huawei Watch 3 feels pretty classic, while the GT3 looks stylish but is more suitable for sports.

Health and fitness tracking with the Huawei Watch GT3

Among the watches I’ve tried, Huawei’s GT watches have impressed me most when it comes to keeping track of your fitness. People with atrial fibrillation and sleep apnea can benefit from apps like these.

Although the app provides medical information, it is not medically advised. Runners should keep this in mind.

Huawei, on the other hand, has made great strides to improve tracking accuracy in sports, and built on the existing software features. Several of these features were tested, while others will be featured later in GT3.
